May as well start a progression thread of my reptile rooms at the new house.
This is the space I have to work with. The first room is around 12'x7.5' and the second 12'x8.5'
I'll post some more pics later of the temporary arrangement of vivs - all a bit chaotic at the moment as I just needed them set up after the move.
I think room 1 will be for temperate species, brumation and equipment and room 2 for tropical species. I have space heater coming to raise the ambient temperature of the tropical room as even in the summer it stays pretty cool (house was built around 1902).
One of the first major jobs is to get the electrics sorted. There's nothing particularly wrong with them but they could do with tidying up around the house in general so we're getting a new distribution board fitted and at the same time the electrician is going to fit a dedicated mains ring for the vivs so if anything else in the house trips the circuit the vivs will not be affected. And I get a load more power power points and can be sure the supply can take the load.
