I guess 3rd time's the charm huh? This is our third snake in 3 months. Maybe I'm just really into it, or maybe it's a midlife crisis. We may never know :D
Today I picked this ball up at the place I got my kingsnakes. It was just labeled as a female bumble bee, born this past fall (appx.). I have looked online at a bunch of morphs with bonafide genetics...and though it would be nice to know more details about her, I am generally fine with this little bit of knowledge since I'm not looking to breed, etc. She's just going to join the crew as a pet!

If anyone had to guess, would you be able to suggest what she might be? Unless plain ol' "Bumble Bee" is it!

Oh so beautiful! Very neat design! Don't know what to suggest, I apologize!

I don't keep BPs so I can't speak to the morph but it's still a very nice looking animal.

beautiful snake and congrats on another one! i have a female bumblebee as well and it does look pretty close. mine is a darker yellow but not much darker still a vibrant bright yellow but the black marks are thicker and she doesn't have much white. but it does look pretty close to mine could be a bee! can't wait to see mine grow she's only almost 6 months old.

Thanks all! I'm really excited about her. I love our baby kingsnakes, but they're definitely more zippy than I can sense this one will be.
frankadank, interesting! Have you posted pics of her anywhere here on the forum? Also, the black markings on mine aren't true black...more of a muted black/grey. Which got me wondering if she's got some other gene mixed in there? Who knows!

I'm not a huge ball python advocate, but I will tell you that's one pretty mama you've got there. I especially love how the white seems to contrast with the yellow. Very nice animal.

Thanks so much! I saw her when I was there a few days ago picking up a new lightbulb. Then I found myself thinking about her all week. I told myself if she was still there, today would be the day!

While it's stlil true that I'm loving her no matter what, I can't stop wondering if she's got something going on other than straight up bumble bee. In looking around, to me she kind of looks like she could be a killer bee? The things that are throwing me off are that her yellow is pretty light and the darker color isn't true black. But I'm not a morph expert by any means so who knows. Anyone more experienced have any thoughts?

i'm still interested as well to see if this is a bumblebee. maybe some are lighter, could be a killer bee. has to be a bee tho in my opinion.

So I asked someone on Instagram (yeah, I'm that annoying person who asked someone to assess their snake)...she is either a breeder or just seems to be very knowledgeable and owns both a bumblebee and a killerbee. She says she is a regular bumblebee, just has a lot of white "in the saddle". That's a new term for me haha. Now this is just one person's opinion but I figure between the store's labeling, the price (if she was a more special morph I feel like she would have been pricier), and this person's opinion, that's what I'll stick with!
She ate for me yesterday with no hesitation so I'm happy about that! And I hope she likes her new digs :D

Thank you, thank you :) I love our little kingsnakes dearly, but having a snake that's larger and more chill is an interesting thing. I can't say I like her more, but I am loving her so far despite the little interaction we've had!

Grats! Nice looking bumblebee. Part of the distinction in killerbee vs. bumblebee is the cleaner head stamp in the kb and their reduced patterning and coloration. You definitely have a winner there.

Thank you very much! And that's interesting to know about the difference.
