Ah yes, the confusing ups and downs of having a tiny little adorable baby snake!

He feeds right off the tongs with no problem, getting him into his little feeding box is no problem.

But I accidentally squeeze/scare him trying to get him out and cause a mock strike(?) I literally felt no pain, I am not sure he even got me. No blood or anything, but then again he is tiny. It just looked and felt like his head whipped to the side, smacked my fingers then whipped away!

I am not sure how to pick up this little tiny noodle without this problem repeating at the moment. X'D Any tips would be helpful!

To clarify: I am speaking about Lingueeno, my little 2016 baby Rosy Boa.

Just ignore it. If you don't take out and/or don't further touch the snake after it bit you, you only teach it that biting you will cause you to leave him alone.

When they are this small, they usually bite, you are big and surely going to eat them. They can't harm you at this size, simply ignore, snake will learn you cause no harm... eventually. Some sooner than others, and some will always attempt to bite your arm in two, or swallow you whole.

That is what i was thinking of doing, yes. The only real problem with it was that the quick action/strike itself is mainly what startled me, as I was a bit afraid I accidentally squeezed and hurt him to cause it.

Thank you for the imput! I will simply be a bit careful when I lift him-- he is such a tiny little guy. If he needs to nip a few times to learn I am not going to crush and eat him then so be it. XD

Your baby has to be larger than my baby Corn...I corral her, slide my fingers underneath and scoop, then I grab. She hasn't struck yet, but my baby King has, she's a bit bigger, but hasn't latched on yet. When I approach her, I feint from the front and scoop from the rear with the other hand.

Maybe I've just been lucky, or just maybe I...I've been lucky! :rolleyes:
