View Full Version : Lacey Act Bann Lifted!!
Hi all! Great news! It appears that after a long struggle, USARK finally got the Lacey Act constrictor ban in which certain species listed as injurious (such as Burmese and reticulated pythons) lifted! This means that we will soon be able to be transported these snakes across state lines! This is a huge step forward which we should embrace responsibly if we want to keep this ban away. WOW. when did this take effect and at what point can you begin shipping across state lines?
That Facebook post from USARK was April 7th. The appeals process is still alive and FWS has 90 days from ruling date to decide if they want to file an appeal (unless they have stated already that they will not). It isn't over yet. We're getting close though.
Stay vigilant.

All I want to say is there's a ton of naysayers who said once the ban went in they will never ever consider lifting it and just take more of our "rights" away. All of you were wrong.

Didn't they mean from FWS and not the court system?
