View Full Version : Everyone Please Read This
This petition is to be sent to the producers of that stupid show "Fear Factor." They have thrown hundreds of harmless snakes into deep water, along with an adult burm, and drowned several of them. They have thrown snakes around while sorting them causing them to break ribs and suffer from serious internal injuries. It was obvious that those that didn't die on the show died shortly thereafter. If you are tired of seeing them throw non-water snakes into a deep tub of water and seeing several of them drown, or watch them throw around snakes and causing severe injuries, please sign this petition. I'm disgusted every time I see them try to intimidate a player or please the crowd with harmless snakes passing them off as lethal and dangerous. Their show should be taken off the air for doing this, or atleast banned from using animals in their shows. Your name and email adress is required, however your email adress will not be shown to the public, having your names makes the petition have a greater impact. Comments are optional.
Please help me post this in forums where you don't see it posted. We need as many signatures as possible in order to make a difference. I have asked the people from ************** nicely to please post this somewhere on their site for all to see but I never got a reply. This is an outrage, post it everywhere possible.Sign here (http://www.petitiononline.com/snakes/petition.html)

I never liked that show, for more than just the animal abuse, but that is definetly the main reason.
I have been hearing a lot lately about online petitions actually being a waste of time. And damn for the life if me I can't remember where the article is but it tells you why they don't work and why its a waste of time....something about the fact that companies normally don't read things that are massed produced and people actually get read if they send in personally written letters.
But of course EVERY little bit helps the cause you care about! :)

Great petition but it prolly wont do much good, show brings in alot of money and you know how much sout we have as animal rights!
It might not do much good, but every little bit helps. It sure beats sitting at home and complaining to the 4 walls. Folks who read and sign the petition might get motivated to take a more active role in the fight against animal cruelty.
I wrote to NBC, my local NBC affiliate station, and to the producers of Fear Factor after that moronic coffin stunt they pulled. I got back form letters from NBC and the local station thanking me for my interest in their programs. *shrug*
If nothing else, it gives us a place to vent a bit of our anger.
Write to the companies that advertise on the show on why you won't be purchasing their products. stop the flow of dough and you won't have a show.
Thats a good idea, and yes, I realive that online petitions can be futile, but it is a very good way to raise awareness.

Wow. I never really thought about the snakes after the show. I noticed all the snakes in a tub once and it made me mad cause I was thinking I would love to be in a tank with all those snakes and just take all of them home. And it made me mad cause how could someone be afraid of such beautiful snakes. GRRRRR. Now that I think about it you are right there has to be a bunch of snakes dead near the end of the show. Maybe we should put the producers in a tub with rattlensnakes and cobras and then see the fear rise.hehehe. Just kidding. I am sick.

I saw that one, with the big burm, and all the corns, and garters, and like 200 others, all in 8 foot deep freezing cold water. I just wanted to take them all home too. I want to find out who the sponsors are, but that means I have to watch that show.

There's so many other stunts there that involve things like eating live madascar hissing cockroaches, and such... I felt sick just looking at them so that's as far as I got.
Anyway, it doesn't seem that Fear Factor has its own sponsors, rather NBC's sponsors are the same... I guess you'll have to boycott NBC shows and sponsors... good luck!

when I still think about all those snakes...sigh!
I will NEVER watch that show again.
