fist shed

so i've had my beautiful female bumblebee for alittle over a month now and she's finally going into shed! well has been for the past week i believe. i noticed last week her belly getting pink and color fading and i checked her out the other day and eyes are completely shadowy. well in the past week she hasn't left her hide and usually she explores daily. how long is the shedding process? humiditys been a problem i'm trying to fix, is it a stuck shed? i thought after her eyes got cloudy within a day or two she'll be shedding but it's been about 4/5 days. what's the shedding process for BPs? thanks for giving me your time(:

The eyes will clear up before they shed usually a few days before. What's your humidity sitting at currently?

Don't worry... usually it takes between 4 and 8 or so days when the snake is "in blue". After that it clears up (ie- you can see the eyes again) which takes an additional 2-3 days, then he/she sheds.

Humidity is mostly not the issue during the cycle. The snake needs enough water in his or her system to shed properly. The "old skin" so to say becomes impervious to water during the shedding process. The coloration you see (becoming "blue" or "clear") is body fluids released under the old skin. If the snake is kept too dry whether by air humidity or not enough to drink/not drinking enough, then he/she may have a bad shed as a result. The problem of a bad shed starts already before the shed cycle itself started. People struggling with bad sheds should re-check their entire husbandry... spraying or otherwise interfering with the snake's husbandry related to humidity during a shed is not the solution.

today was feeding day and i noticed her eyes did clear up so i guess i should be expecting a shed soon! humidity is stable 40-50 thanks for advice guys!
