Agressive!

I went to change my (i hope) gravid female's water dish today, and I got the nastiest hiss I've ever heard! Normally she is totally docile.
Could this be an indication or something? Or is she just having a bad day?

Pregnant chicks are typically moody. ;)

If she's swollen, and laying partially belly up, she's probably feeling pretty vulnerable. From looking at those pics of her, I'd say there's about a 99% chance you've got some eggs on the way. Start waiting for that pre-lay shed. Once that happens, mark it on your calendar, and get your incubator running.
