Can someone from the Harrisburg area point me in the direction to a veterinarian that will work with venomous reptiles? I'm not having any luck to this point. I purchased a young bitis gabonica gaboinica at the Hamburg show a few weeks ago and all was well until I came home today to a cloacal prolapse. Unsure the cause. Eating fine, humidity hangs around 70% on one end and around 45 on the other. Will keep calling but if anyone has any information it would be appreciated.

Call a zoo in your area that has venomous snakes, they may be able to provide you a contact or offer help directly.

Thanks! I had actually called them, as well as who they recommended, and who they recommended... No luck so far. That's an excellent idea on calling the local zoo's. They're all closed for the day but I'll start first thing in the morning again.

For now I gave her an hour soak in sugar water and placed her in a tote with newspaper vs the mulch she was in. Hopefully less friction on it until I can get something lined up tomorrow.

I think Jeremy Sabatini does venomous. He is located in NY though so it's a little bit of a drive. I've never called to find out for sure but they have a viper on their Facebook page.

Would like to apologize that you're not getting my replies. It seems mine are pending a moderator due to being new to the site. I'm sure they'll all come in at once but you're information is appreciated.

Clyde Peelings reptile farm is a little over an hour from me. Everything is closed for today but I'll reach out to them first thing and try to gather some information. Will give Jeremy a call if that doesn't work. Hate to have to drive to New York but if that's what it takes this snake needs immediate attention.

Update: I decided this morning to give massaging it back in myself a try and I was able to successfully accomplish that. I still plan to try tracking down a vet for any post care or treatment recommendations.
