Hello everyone, I noticed a small lump on my 7-8 month old retic during a cage cleaning today. I haven't seen any pictures quite like what I am seeing posted anywhere so I'm curious if the community here has any ideas. It is soft and doesn't seem to cause any pain when touching it. I didn't notice it when handling her yesterday, does this merit a vet visit?

Yes it does merit a vet visit imo, could be several things but all we can do with a picture is speculate.

I'll echoed what Tsubaki said, it could be a number of things, but your best taking her to see a vet

As of today the lump has completely disappeared. It felt soft, like it was fluid filled. At this point would it still be worth taking her in? Could it have been a bruise or something similar? Thanks for the advice, I'm stumped as to what could have caused it?

I did find this article, although it didn't mention anything that could possibly disappear overnight. hope it could be helpful to you..

I would make note of the area it was in and take her to a vet so it's documented. Show them that picture and tell them how it felt to the touch.
