Hi all!

I have a 6 month old burmese python and I was wondering something- I live in 2 houses- my mom's and my dad's and we alternate weekly. Would it be ok to also bring my snake from house to house weekly as long as I bring her terrarium and all her stuff with her. Just to clarify, she would be in the same enclosure, just in a different house. Is this ok??

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!

I would say no, the transportation is the issue not that the cage is the same. Also you'd have to reheat and setup the cage each time. In transport you have vibration, uncontrolled temperatures and the act of being packed up every week. Many snakes will not eat when stressed and transportation is top of the causes.

My parents live 2 blocks from each other, I can bike to either of their houses in under a minute, so the cage doesn't really have time to cool down and I don't have to pack the snake. Would it still be a problem?

I woulnd do it personally, too stressfull. Also a burms enclosure should be really hard to move in no time. They're not exactly small snakes, at some point the snake its self would get heavy to move around.. If it's just a minute away, why not get on your bike to care for her? Seems easier.

why don't you just bike over to your mom. when you need to check up on it.
