View Full Version : Burm trying to escape
Hi all, I've been noticing that my 6 month old burm seems to be trying to escape her terrarium at night, she rubs a bit against the glass and the roof. I have no clue of why she does this since her enclosure is if anything, a little bit on the big side. Any guesses or answers for why she does this are greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Hot date? Ready to ovulate? Heard a cry for help and is trying to investigate? Wants to take the dog for a early morning walk? Needs a breath of fresh air? Wants the light back on so she can read a book?
Sigh...okay...I'll let the experts chime in now. It's 0400, so what did you expect?

That was hilarious! xD
Now seriously, for the OP: how do you know she is trying to escape? If she is rubbing, that could mean something else (shed, attempt to align her jaws, etc).

Burms are nocturnal. She's probably trying to hunt. My burm does it too. Has nothing to do with enclosure size.
I leave a good book and a nightlight in there for her. Works like a charm
hahaha great advice ;) thanks!!

Mine is going through this EXACT phase right now! the last couple days she's been wrecking her enclosure repeatedly due to constantly roaming about. Her temps and all that jazz are exactly the same as they've always been. She started this a couple weeks ago right before feeding day then went back to normal routine. Her next feed is tomorrow so we'll see if that pattern continues..
