Hello guys, thought i would pop on and say hello from me and Monty (i bet theres tonnes of montys out there) only had him/her for a few months, but already have so much love for my slithering friend, its my first snake 🐍 all seems to be well at the minute, eating well, but hiding more ha ha ha, but it is handy to have sites like this incase i may need it (hopefully not on a bad note tho)
Monty is approx 15 months old, not sure exactly, last owner wasnt the best to be polite.
Haven't figured out how to post pics yet 😞 but will do once i know how.

It's not uncommon. Was it in many pieces? Did s/he shed completely? And most importantly, does the snake have access to fresh water at all times? Sometimes a poor shed indicates a need for increased humidity.

Hey, yeah there is a big bowl of water in viv, (the last owner had s/he in a viv with no heat at all just a tank with bark and a bowl of water, no correct husbandry) I took it on to give it the proper care it deserves it also had r.i but with the help of a vet friend and the local reptile store it's all sorted now, healthy and eating like a pig. I don't know if the bad start has had an impact on its shed, but the humidity is fine at the minute aswell as the temps and I also put in a warm damp cloth and a sponge under heat lamp to add a bit extra humidity, the head, eye caps came off first and all under the belly down to its tail came off, just seems to be down it's back where it's struggling.
