Is this a kingsnake?

I bought this snake at a shop and they told me it was a Durango Mountain Kingsnake back in June 2014. I've been a little skeptical on if it is even a kingsnake at all. The feeding resonse isn't the same as my MBK.

It's definitely a Mexican Kingsnake (Lampropeltis mexicana sp.). It looks right for L. m. greeri (Greer's Mexican Kingsnake, AKA Durango Mountain Kingsnake), but without a locale you'd need someone very familiar with these to nail down the subspecies for sure. If it was sold to you as a Durango Mountain Kingsnake that's what I'd stick with.

That's a nice one! Where'd you get him from? It's nice to see there are some nice Mexican Kingsnakes in Canada.

I got him from Big Al's here in kitchener. When I first saw him I had to get him. Love the colors
