I was trawling through my old pics and came across this, she's an Ecuadorian boa. She was caught two days previous to this and released the next day :)

I have just uploaded these images:

That's a gorgeous boa Dave. No matter how many morphs we produce, ya just can't beat Mother Nature :).

I totally agree with you Ziggy she's an absolute beautiful snake, and considering we just picked her up out of the jungle she was quite calm but a bit flighty :D

Awesome looking boa, if I ever get another boa it will be a natural "morph" for sure. Something about them just looks awesome.

Very beautiful girl. It's so nice to see them in their own domain.

Yip beautiful indeed :). The only reason this girl was caught in the first place though, is that the guy beside me in the pic is a bush pilot and he almost ran over her landing at a small village in the middle of the jungle. So he bagged her and brought her back to the station on his way back. As I said a couple of days later she was bagged put on a plane, and released. There were three flights to the same village that day she was on the first, and I was on the second. They took me to the spot where they let her go but it was like looking for a needle in a haystack, but you could only see about 6ft in front off the trail into the rainforest :D

That would be so
Cool to go to the jungle and see them in the wild,a collegue of mine from work goes on herp trips as part of a team with his university studios he's not long got back from Honduras where he's been for a few months and he's going to Guatemala in march checking on numbers etc in the forests, some of the pics and stories are just out this world, over the last couple of years his team have found quite few new bits and bobs including some frogs they thought had gone extinct over 25yrs ago, just so jealous, lol

We were out there for 7 days it was quite an experience to say the least lol. We didn't see to many snakes but the insect life was amazing, we stayed with an a tribe called the Swar, and got to eat and live the way they did. Some of the food was interesting, I got a taste for what they called Wanta, which I found out on day 3 was a large rat. Tasted alright to me though, I also learned that if you got this certain plant and a drop of water, then crushed it in the palm of your hands for around an hour and sniffed the water up your nose, you got a massive nicotine hit. A practice I took part in only once and never repeated :D
