Heating mats?

I have another question!
First of all how many of you guys/gals use heating mats in your tank?
I was told that heating mats are not important as long as you have a light.
I have a day light and a night light for my future geckos but was just curious if I should invest in a heating mat or not?
If you crested lovers could help me out on this question that would be so nice of you guys/gals:p .

My rooms has heaters so the temp is easilty regulated...I don't use one, but I have a lamp :)

I don't think you're going to need that much heat, >especially< if you already have your lamps, you don't want to cook the lil guys! lol!

Ya I agree with those two, you don't need a heating pad. It should be fine with the lamps.
