I got this GC from an abandoned apartment about a year and a half ago. Never saw one before and thought she looked amazing, so I kept her. Since she was abandoned, I don't have genetic info on her so I went with a normal GC. There are some that look just like her, but are some type of variation. I can't really tell the difference, so if you can tell, please enlighten me. ha.
When I first got her
5.14.15

2.28.16
36465
11.17.16
36468
36466

Thanks for looking!

How can someone just abandon an animal like that I just don't know, beautiful snake and well done for taking her in.
Try Jay at prehistoric pets, just email him your photo's.

She looks like a normal GC to me but who knows what she could be het for because of the way you found her. There's one thing I do know for sure, she's a very good looking girl ;)
Looks like a Golden Child to me. Glad you were able to save the snake and give it a better life.

That's what I think also. I'm not breeding retics (no time or space), so not too worried about what she is exactly. Just glad I was called to that apartment.
A friend of mine is the maintenance guy and he called to see if I could take the snakes that were left. There were 6 live and 2 dead ball pythons, 4 boas (1 huge female in a small glass tank), an 11ft albino burm, this GC and an adult savannah monitor that was running about the apartment. There were feeder rats the guy was breeding that had died due to no food or water. Some were eaten by the last survivors before they died themselves. This place was in terrible shape. I wanted to find this guy, and at the very least, punch him in the face. ha
The apartment manager called animal services and they arrived with a police officer minutes before I did. He looked so overwhelmed so I told him I had room and equipment to care for them until they were ready to be re-homed. he looked so relieved and said they were not set up for this. I found homes for all of them and just kept the GC.
Very happy to have this one. She is super cool and really aware of what's going on around her.

thats a crazy story. im sure that doesnt happen to a alot of people. what a terrible pet owner to leave all the animals uncared for and the apartment in complete disarray. That being said, a free retic is pretty cool! i like those pictures, she looks great. sorry i cant help with your question, but ill echoe what was previously stated about contacting jay from prehistoric pets. Knowledgeable guy on the subject who probably would like to give you info, though ive never met or spoke to him (i just like his videos).

I love happy endings :). Shame on the previous keeper for abandoning those animals like that. I'm glad you were there to pick up the pieces and score big with a beautiful retic in the process.

Thanks everyone. I was just lucky enough to get the call. I'm back on the forum, so I'll start posting updated pics on a different thread.

I'm so happy you were able to help them and get them re-homed. And you've done an amazing job with her. She's beautiful :)
