I'm really worried about my little jungle boa George he's 8months old and last week I put his food to small mice from fluffs which has left a bulg for some time
,but tonight when I've come to check on him he seems floppy in the middle and makes no attempt to coil, the top half is all fine and and he can move his tail, his belly seems soft and not toned, he's never regurgitated any of food before
I've been doing some reading about IBD but doesn't seem to have any other symptoms I'm getting him into the vets tomorrow, but I feel the worst
Any advise cheers Richard

I read about this on another forum and it was due to giving the boa too large a prey item and it only went when the boa had a good poop, so how long ago did George open his bowels (to be polite)?

This was copied from another forum......
Still has a food bulge after a week?
UPDATE! I woke up this morning to a monstrous dump. Kevin pooped more than my 700 gram bee sometimes does!
Definitely learned my lesson, he is back down to hoppers on a 10 day schedule for now! Thanks everybody! And because I was so glad to see him back to normal.
IBD has a very slow onset and it usually begins with frequent regurgitation for no identifiable reason...probably not the culprit here. Without any more info other than what's been disclosed (temps, humidity, his weight, weight of food, etc.) it would be difficult to help you out much. You are on the right track with the vet visit. Please update us.

So sorry to hear that. It was very unlikely the move to larger prey that did it so do not blame yourself.
Are you going to get a necropsy done to know the cause. May be useful just to be sure of the safety of your other snakes.
