In the next couple of months I am wanting to get a Ball Python. I want to make sure I have a list of all the things I am going to need to be able to care for this snake.
Heat lamp
Heat Pad with temp display
bedding
hides
2x temp/1x humidity gauges
water treatment
And possibly a way to turn the heat lamp on and off if the tank gets to a certain temp. Didn't know if anything like that exist.
If you have brands for items that work the best please let me know. Thanks!

Heat lamps are problematic for snakes as they need to be oh 24/7 so the light disturbs them. A ceramic heat emitter works better. The temperature control thing you mention is a thermostat - you must have one of these. A pulse proportional for a ceramic is best.
I would not bother with the heat pad. Not required in my opinion.
Can't help with brands as you have all different ones in the States.

Your most important piece of equipment WILL be the THERMOSTAT. The best functioning one is made by Spyder Robotics (HERPSTAT 1, 2, 4, or 6) then you have Vivarium Electronics. Helix makes a top of the line thermostat as well. For affordability there are the "on" "off" types of thermostats but i don't recommend those. Spyder Robotics occaisionally runs sales on their products so it would be prudent to wait and get a reliable top of the line thermostat from them.
