first shed

I meant to get on this topic I just didn't think I needed to research it so quickly. My rosy looked normal, I fed her, she went to the warm side to digest her food like she usually does, I replaced her hide with a new stone one, and she spent 2 days in there. I was starting to get concerned about temps since she normally moves back and forth when today I found her under her cool side hide with a skin by the rock in front of the warm hide. It was practically tied in a knot and it's in 2 pieces but otherwise seems whole. I'm assuming it's good she had a quick, nearly fully intact shed. Should I feed her today (I found the skin yesterday) and anything to watch for?

Go ahead and feed her. I'm not sure what you mean when you ask if there's anything to watch for. Will this be feeding your first snake ever for the first time?

No, I've had her a few weeks. Looking online there is info of skin not coming off so you have to help, eye caps getting stuck and possibly requiring a vet or knowledgeable person that I do not know, and majority of resources saying it takes weeks to shed and they will not eat during that time. Mine just popped out of her skin, mostly in one piece, on a the edge of a rock overnight without any fanfare. I'm thawing her gerbil for her.

Yeah, you should always try to be aware of when the snakes are going into shed so you can provide an increase in humidity to ensure a complete shed. You're also right that it's important to check for a complete shed and remove any stuck shed as soon as possible. Normally a stuck shed doesn't require a vet visit unless you simply can't remove it and it's causing harm to the health of the snake.

Well she's very shiny and full of small gerbil now. I need a pic of shiny Barairo. She was so dull and lacking muscle. I cannot match her color to a locality. I am assuming she is a captive mix instead of pure locality breeding.

If it came off in two pieces, I'd double check her eyes to be sure the eye caps are off, and then definitely check the VERY tippy top of her tail for anything stuck; that's a very easy spot to miss until it's too late. And "too late" is generally the very next shed, if it starts to turn purple.

The tail tip on the shed is closed and solid. Barairo just looks shiny to me.

sounds like a good shed. my snake is usually is usually very hungry after a shed so i go ahead and feed him.
