havn't posted in a long, long while so i figured i would post a few pictures of how my dumerils are growing.

I got both my dums from craigslist for free at different times and can hopefully breed them when the younger is full grown, if the sexes are right. the original owners were unaware of either sex but the guy said he thought the bigger one was a male, which i am somewhat unconvinced of considering the snake is now over 7.5 ft long and that is HUGE for a male.

here is the bigger one when i first got him, his name is Nigma(after the riddler from batman)

and here's nigma a few years later at about 7.5ft

and here is the smaller one, named Oracle(barbara gordon from batman), when i first got her

and here she is now, somewhere around 6ft.

They're beautiful Dumerils. How long have you had them and how old do you estimate them to be? I also have a female Dumerils and love her. She's a seeet and very mellow snake. She's around 5 feet now and 2.5 years old. I didn't get her as a hatchling and was told she was 2yrs old when I got her.

Pretty! I guess these guys are great eaters, they are so thick and healthy looking!

i got the bigger dum around late 2010 or early 2011. i got the smaller one probably a year or two later but she was much smaller than the other. She has done a lot of good growing in 3 years or so. she still doesn't have the wide girth and the full grown head size that the other snake has but she is getting pretty long, so a few more years and she will be nearing adulthood i would guess. i assume she was reasonably young when i got her judging by the size in the pictures i showed.

if i had to take a guess id say the big snake is 5-7 years old and the smaller one is probably 4-6

I keep the smaller one in a 4x1.5x2 glass tank and the bigger one is in a 4x2x2 wooden viv, although it would be nice to build slightly bigger enclosures for them at some point.

they are REALLY good eaters. just after i got the big male he put off food for almost 5 months, which worried me a bit, but he wasn't losing body mass or anything. after that one incident he ate and has been eating like clockwork ever since. never misses a meal unless in shed. same with the smaller one, only even MORE so. she seems like she's constantly hungry all the time :P

i have been feeding the bigger snake jumbo rats and the smaller one was on medium/large rats until recently when i moved her up to large/small jumbos.
now i can just buy 1 big bag of smaller jumbo rats and feed both snakes with them, considering the bigger snake doesnt need huge meals anyway since he's pretty much full grown and he doesnt need bigger fatty rats.

I look forward to mine getting to adult size. She seems to be on track judging by your time frame update.
