Ok, so I will be going herping after work tomorrow down by my local creek. I will be wearing a gopro and be taking lots of pictures and videos.
I will be sure to upload them. Wish me luck!
Hope you have some success and enjoy your time out.

Where do you live? Might be able to help you target certain species

I hear SF Garters are out basking. I'm assuming other garters are too. I'd go mid morning or late afternoon. All that said, I'm a SoCal herper. Good luck. It's the search...that's sometimes the best part.

Did you go? Update!
I did!
All I found was lizards, turkeys, and a dead skunk....
It was quite the disaster...
I brought my Gopro but forgot my sd card, stumbled upon a nest of wasps, and stepped on a dead skunk.
It was a very smelly, sweaty day.
If anyone has any good spots in the SF area please let me know!

It's not really a great time of year to go. Hot and dry. Try wet and humid for better results. Do you have or know of any boardlines in the area? That helps a lot!!!
