I recently noticed that near my snakes cloaca (just below it) that there were some brownish yellowish scales like 5 of them and am unsure if it's stuck shed that I some how missed when looking over him after his shed a couple weeks ago or if it's scale rot which I'm hoping not. Anyone have any ideas on what it may be?
PS: there is no reddening/swelling around the effected area. Should I have a vet check it out? Any inexpensive things I could try or do to see if it helps?
Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the poor image quality it was a bit difficult to get him to sit still for a couple seconds. He's a very active ball python.

It's hard to tell but looks like scar tissue or blistering.

So maybe just see how it looks after a few more days? I've been applying antibiotic ointment to the area in hopes it will look better, also I don't think it's blisters I haven't seen any, anyway but I could be wrong I'll just keep an eye on it.

Yeah i keep a eye on it and keep putting antibiotic on it. Just be sure it's not the kind with pain reliever in it.

I thought you were talking about his spurs at first and was pretty confused. I think I see what you mean now. Nevermind.

Yeah, not the spurs but the brownish scales above that in the picture.
Ps: it has started to feel more smooth since applying the antibiotics. Seems to be getting better.
