I was thinking about getting a frilled lizard and was wonder if anyone has ever raised them. The zoo I volenteer at has them and they are very nice I was just wondering about the husbandry of them and the price that I will be paying. Thanks for your help.

I don't know anything about them, but you might try talking to KaHane & Helena... I *think* I remember them having some at some point....

Care is VERY similar to that of the Bearded Dragon, but these animals need much more in regards to climbing area, therefore providing large enclosures is a main concern for this active species. If you've already worked with them, then you probably know how cute, active, inquisitive and responsive these clowns can be!! Price may vary anywhere from $300 to $750.00, depending on age, size, "colour", and origin. For more on husbandry techniques, keep your eyes peeled for the next issue of REPTILES, it's got a FANTASTIC, in depth article as the main feature.
I believe these to be a very rewarding lizard to work with. Try contacting Kahane, he may be able to help you out.
