Problem feeding my king snake

Tried feeding my king snake today,I gave her a pinky. She went to it soon when she saw it with no problem, attack it but when she was eatting it, she got it a quarter way in before she could'nt take no more in, I left here along for about an hour before she regurgitated it. She is about 10'' long and about the size of a pencil. Went back to the pet store to see did they have any smaller ones, they didn't. They want have none in intil 3-5 days when there next shipment come in, is there any other feed I can give her to then or just wait it out, all info will be greatly appreciated...

Just wait it out.

Was it a mouse pinky or a rat pinky? Because even a neonate king should be able to take a mouse pinky without any issues.

Now another problem... she will not eat. I try to feed her every 5-7 days when I feed my other snakes, looks fine full, looks as if getting longer...but just won't eat....what's up...

Well when my snake where babies sometimes I had to split the head open to expose the brains. They would smell an eat it right up hope this helps

Also for baby kings, if you cut the pinky lengthwise it will be easier to swallow for it. Are these live pink mice or f/t? If they are f/t, then cut them first lengthwise while still frozen then sit the pink in warm water for 5 minutes and offer it. If the pink is live then just cut it lengthwise and offer. Use a shallow plate or paper towel to avoid extra substrate from adhering to the pinky.

There are different sizes of pinkies also. Maybe you should use the extra small pinkies. They are newborn pinks and less than the 1 day old pink mice.

If she's the width of a pencil, she can eat pinkies no problem. This backing off prey can happen quite often with baby snakes when you're watching them eat. Depending on the subspecies of kingsnake...I have never had to cut a pinkie in half because of size with most of the more common kept subspecies/localities.
