Smilies (gone???)

What happened to the smilies that were beside the quick reply that was at the bottom of every thread. Is it just me are they gone or am I dreaming and they were never there. Also while I am here what happen to the monitor in the banner.

You can get them by clicking on the "reply to post" button at the bottom of a thread instead of using the reply box. By using the button you can put a title in your message as well as smileys!
