Hi everyone, as promised an update on Loki!.. Again? i suppose haha! I'm so glad he is doing so well right now, i'm no longer afraid he will stop eating if i bother him a bit so i felt confident enough to drag him outside! He shed 2 days ago, he seemed to like grass very much and i had to chase him around the damn yard, at some point he actually vanished, which was pretty impressive with his size.. (or just a sign i really need to mow my lawn, just wanted to take pictures in tall grass first haha) I forgot to charge my cameras battery, so i used my cellphone.. but i quite like how the pictures came out!!

Wow! He really is looking great as usual. If you ever breed him I need to know about it. Lol.
Wow, nice pattern! You probably need a scythe to fix the lawn :)

I might end up getting a pearl labyrinth female... once upon a time.. when i got more room :D Thx Albert.

Pretty!
Dumb question alert...what makes him a labbie? My untrained eyes just see a really pretty normal wild type.

His pattern is nothing like a normal burmese python:o

Oh ha.. Ha!.. Yes it took me a couple of hours... xD
Anyway! Thanks! I am in love with him too, i think he's amazing! :D He has surpassed the size my last labyrinth was when she passed, and au contraire to her he is doing so great! When he refused to eat i was so afraid he was headed in the same direction.. But i'm very happy now!
Here's a picture i found of my old lady, she had a lot more yellow.

He's so gorgeous! I can't wait until I have a more private lawn to take my big guys out. The neighbors tolerate them for now, but I don't think they'd tolerate them very much if I got bit, so River isn't allowed to leave my body. haha (She also moves so fast nowadays I'm scared she'd run off! If only a leash would fit on them.)
Since you've had problems with both your labs, do they just in general have problems, or did you just get some unlucky draws?

Thank you :D! River sounds like Xena, i need 8 pairs of hands to keep her in check.. She is all over the place, and fast too! She might actually get the neighbours 'dog' if i'm not careful haha! (pretty sure it's just a loud mouthed rat pretending to be a dog) Also, apparently you can leash a snake.. But i don't think it's friendly to the animal?

The female had a neurological problem, wasn't pretty.. Not sure if it was inherited or a unique case to her as i didn't know any of her littermates. Loki just had some bad luck, he is a very shy eater.. He came in heavily infested with mites and took a while to recover from it, the treating him against mites did not help his eating habits. He started to get better, finally started eating (Still a bit irregularly)... Then he scratched his eye on something.. It got a bit irritated and had discharge on it, so i had to clean it and put some ointment from the vet on it.. It helped.. But again, he was too stressed out to eat for a while. Now he is eating like a champion though :D

Yeah I don't know, even if it didn't hurt them I feel like they could get out of it fairly easily. Or at least cause some damage to their scales if they tried to get loose.
Ah. I guess I didn't pick up on where his eye problem came from, at least he's doing better! With any luck he'll live a nice long life. :)

Thx! 11ft, I'd praise myself very lucky if this small guy gets that far!! Here's a picture of him with his meal :D it's upside down bc my phone orientation messed up again..
I love the third photo, a perfect shot of a beautiful snake!

My Canon is down, too. :( I just tried to insert an SD card into it and it's a no go. I literally did nothing to it, just took out the card to transfer photos, and woke up today to it not working. So now it's my phone camera or my mom's Nikon again. My phone camera isn't nearly as good as these photos, though.

He's been eating steady for a few months now, think he's good to go! He's gotten a lot less shy as well since he got some size on him. Also I was told to use a cable as much as possible to transfer pictures, because using the card port too much causes it to wear down rapidly. Idk if this is true, just what they told me at the camera store. The camera of the galaxy S7 is pretty decent luckily!

Yeah I'm thrilled :D! Every time he eats it makes me smile from ear to ear!

The camera on the S7 is bloody brilliant. First phone camera where I don't mind using it as a call back when I don't want to take anything more with me.

Yeah i'm pretty happy with it! not that my S5 was bad, but this really shows some detail.

I don't really have a choice, if I plug in the camera directly it takes up so many resources on my computer that things start saying "not responding" left and right, and even if I close everything down beforehand it still eventually crashes. It's just too much for my computer to handle. :/ If that's the case, that may be why it's failed on me. I haven't been removing the card very much, but it was bought used so who knows what the previous owners were doing.

Oh that's a shame! Did you try setting it as a "storage device" ? The Canon programme and my last laptop got into arguments too haha, so on that I had to let it read it out as if it was just a USB memory stick. Worked pretty well.

Card reader ftw. I've never plugged a camera into the computer, don't see the point...

Because taking the card out can easily damage things according to the camera experts around here.

Poppycock! Never ever had a card slot or card fail in 10+years of digital photography. What do you think the pros do. They're swapping cards in and out all day every day and they nearly always use a card reader.
Genuinely I've never heard anyone recommending to leave the card in because of potential damage.
Note I'm semi pro. Shot weddings, corporates events etc so I like to think I know my way around a camera.
Apologies to go so far ot!

I think it is but it's been so long since I hooked it up. Besides, I tried taking a pic without the card, and it took it but I can't access it from the camera (idk if it would show up if I plugged it in). My brother told me about a repair shop that I might visit, but unfortunately it's the only one anybody knows of nearby, and it's only open for 4 hours in the morning (on my days off it's almost impossible to get up before 4 pm). My laptop is 3 years old and just about everything is too much for it to handle. Tumblr crashes it unless I turn off infinite scrolling (weirdly enough Facebook works fine), I can barely open PhotoShop, I can't play any Steam games on it anymore, Word and Excel will severely slow down the performance even if they're the only things open, etc.
I've also never experienced issues like this before, I had my PowerShot for 10 years and my father had it before me for much longer, and the card slot never failed me but I can't think of literally anything else that could have caused it, and the same thing happened to my laptop's SD slot so I have to use an adapter.

Wow 3 years old and that bad? Get that laptop checked out! I need my steam games or i go crazy haha! I have a gaming pc but my old laptop (5y/o viao) still runs most games fine, just can't expect real quality on anything past 2010. Did you try giving it a deep system cleaning or just a clean instal? And without card they're gone as far as I know, at least on my 550D and my 30D I can't take anything without card. And we are very of topic haha:D
On topic, Loki has decided to become a mole and has buried himself in substrate!

Yeah it recently had a clean reboot, but I don't have anything to store my photos on so I didn't completely wipe it. Eventually I will get an external hard drive but they're really expensive. Hopefully it won't be too bad to replace/fix the SD slot, though.
Also yes, so let's focus on Loki. haha Never thought a Burm would bury themselves, that's hilarious.
