Did some cleaning up/ reorganizing in my reptile room so I thought I'd share some pics. Room is 13'x15', shot from door:

I moved my 'utility cart' (just an old cabinet on wheels) for some cleaner shots:

Have another 4 shelf rack of 41qts ready to stack on top of my other but haven't gotten around to it since it is empty:

What are the black bin looking enclosures in the last pic before you put up pics of animals?

Great looking reptile room. I like the idea of the central island to hold your cleaning supplies and have some workspace. I just might borrow your idea.

Nice setup, what's in the stock tanks?

The stock tanks house my K. homeana tortoises. The bottom one holds my first tortoise, a rather aggressive male. The top one holds my breeding pair.

Those are rubbermaid all access totes. The black ones are ~15 gallon, the grey ones are 20 or 25 gallon. I use them for my crested geckos and hatchling tortoises (neither need heat).

Those look awesome! Can you open them from the front?

They're a pretty neat tote. How sturdy are the access doors?

They do open from the front but they do not work for snakes without modifications to that front opening door.

Awesome setup. I see some empties!! What sre your plans for filling them?

Yes, the totes open from the front. The doors are held in place with plastic hooks, you have to lift up on the door to open it. Good enough for geckos or frogs, a snake could absolutely open it without reinforcing.

And I actually borrowed the work table idea from another. In addition to holding equipment, I use the surface to hold my tubs for maintenance/feeding.

As for the empty space, I'm not entirely sure. My want list includes a classic tessera cornsnake, green bush rat snake, eastern chain king, a pit, and possibly a caramel carpet python. The list is subject to change, the pit and prasina came as a result of this forum.

Well, to speak on behalf of pits, mine has surlrised me with how much I came to really enjoy her as both a display and a handling snake. I will probably end up with another in the future. Lol

Don't you mean another 'x' number Mink? Since when do you stick to 'one more' :D

Great looking reptile room! Can't wait till mine is done!

Ummmm....I have just 1 sand boa, and 1 spotted python, and only 1 carpet python....though I totally want a jag IJ in the future lol...=P

I have no defence for this weakly planned argument lol.

Though I really don't see myself with more than one sand boa or spotted python. =P

I must agree, you have an established history of having the spine of a gummy bear. It's okay, the first step is admitting it ;)

Minkness

Oh, I fully admut it! I may end up with more king snakes, carpets, boas, BPs, ect, but the spotted and sandy are not so great as to have more than one each. I even traded the 2nd sandy I had just to have only one lol. Don't get me wrong, I am sooooo very happy to have them in my collection. But I have zero interest in multiples lol.

What are the cages in the second to last picture with like a 2 level basement? Door up high and then tapers down below.

Those would be large concrete mixing tubs with 2x6s screwed into the tops to make them taller. They don't house snakes but I suppose they could if I'd used solid boards for the top and added a display case lock to the front sliding doors.

Thanks. I do have a habit of stretching my maintenance time in there. Most days I could be out in 15 minutes, but sometimes it seems that every critter in the room needs to be handled while some random cage task gets completed...

I need to correct myself, they're 2x8s. It probably would have worked out better to use a 12" piece of board (vs a 2x ) but I had the 2x8s from a different project.
