Agreed! They are sooooo gorgeous though...the colors and different types are just stunning. I am waaaaaaaaaaaay too much of a clutz to safely be around hots lol...I will just stick to my mildly venomous western hognose :D

When you consider that there wasn't one morph in those pics it's pretty amazing although one is a naturally occurring hybrid. They are without doubt the most beautiful snakes on earth but I'm just scared to death of them :D
Awesome pics! Thanks for sharing your friends collection. I'd love to get deeper into hots with some of the more exotic arboreal vipers, but they scare me. My two rattlesnakes will have to due for the time being. My next hot addition will be a copperhead.

Thanks Dave, the mate had a few more tree vipers but the pictures were bad and I just deleted them. Rattlesnakes are amazing I love them as soon as you say hots everyone pictures either rattlers or cob. Get pics of your copperhead up as soon as you get it there a stunning snake I've had the pleasure of seeing one up close they are really beautiful ;)

I can't imagine the adrenaline at feeding time. I get an adrenaline rush feeding my harmless snakes.

Really god pics, some of the most beautifully patterned and colored snakes are venomous. Personally I wouldn't keep any myself, they're simply too dangerous to have in the house. What's the substrate in the rattlesnake's cage? Looks a bit like the fuel for my parent's wood pellet stove.

Thanks folks the rhinos are just jaw dropping in real life these pics are terrible and don't even do them jus. We're planning a return trip when hopefully we can get them and the eyelash vipers outdoors and get some good pics in natural light. But it's all about timing and the weather plays a massive part here in N.Ireland

Thanks folks :) and agree I would never keep hots and I think my mate is a lunatic for keeping them but then he says I'm a lunatic for keeping large pythons so we get along just fine :). And I think that's a horned viper but I could be wrong as I said folks some of the snakes I definitely know others are just a guess :D. The substrate is stuff called Back to Nature it's made from recycled paper and is made for the pet trade with mammals and reptiles in mind, loads of keepers over in Ireland have been using it for years now. The only draw back is it only comes in that one col, probably because there are no chemicals in it
