Hi
I've been doing a lot of reading on boa breeding I know about ages and weight etc but seem confused on breeders opinions .some breeders start cooling them down in October before introducing the male in November/December
Some breeders say it's a must but then other breeders say they get the same results from not cooling ?
Any ideas what's the best results are

Wish I could help, but I too struggle with this question.

I have yet to start my breeding, but from my research thus far it seems to be more of a personal preference. I'd say it certainly won't hurt to cycle them, and if it gets better results, then great. Some people can get their boas to breed without a cooling period, some can't.

Totally up to the breeder. I have done both and preferred to not cool. Be sure to give males a place to stay cool though as excessive heat will cause poor fertility.
