Thanks guys :) issues aside the white lip has to be a favorite of mine too. No, planted/bioactive enclosures aren't hard to maintain, so long as you do the research and set them up right. You have to have the right cleanup crew, the right plants, a drainage layer, and the right soil, and letting it establish before putting the animal in is a must. I wouldn't recommend them for most beginners unless you really put the time into researching first, though.
