i changed up mac's tank a little to give him more crawl space. i took out the large pond-he doesn't sub-merge in it and put in a smaller one with 2 pieces of sphagnum moss on each side. so far my humidity readings look good with a daily spritzing. do you think this will be adequate to maintain it? he's been eating great.

What's the humidity range it remains in? If you're 50-60 most of the time you're fine.

dear trailblazer-had to go back to the big pond yesterday and took out the moss. it turned into a big damp mess with the moss and made the humidity too high that i thought mac might get an ri from all the dampness. humidity with the big pond a solid 60. thank you for your reply.

What are you using for substrate? I've found cypress works best for my climate but I range from -20f and 320-30% outside (house kept 30-40% in winter) to 90f and 60%+ outside usually 40-60% inside with the ac.

i use cypress also. finding out my humidity levels are better with a daily spritz and just a few shreds of moss.
