My carpet is scared of my arm hair.....?

Hey, not a big deal and kind of amusing, but I was just wondering if this is a common thing for snakes or maybe carpets in general. He's been doing pretty well in my hands the few times I've held him so far. Seems inquisitive and what not but when he's slithering up my arm and hits some of my arm hair he spazzes out and jerks back and goes the other way lol. I dont recall my ball having this issue but he's pretty darn calm and always has been. My carpet, being young, is certainly much more jumpy. Theres my random thought for the day.

Meh, I've got pretty hairy arms too and none of my snakes seem to be bothered by it. :)

Popeye is startled at first, then he realises it's warm, so isn't bothered.

My jungle does that too but I guess it's pretty normal. She feels the arm hair, jerks a little but then she moves on.

maybe they think it's whiskers on a mouse or rat?
