Found 4 of these Valley Garter snakes in one area.

This is the largest, and smelliest (he musked all over me) one we caught. Sorry for the multiple posts. I can't figure out how to upload more than one pic to each post.

Yeah he was a handsome snake. There was a slight rainbow iridescence on his cheek that was spectacular.

Indeed. His belly was slightly irridecent and gradually changed from yellow to a pinkish color toward it's tail. And man was he fast!
