So i've done some research on breeding carpet pythons because Im looking to buying another to breed with my Darwin Carpet Python eventually. So in my researches i've come across Jaguars/ leucistic jaguars.
- Are people still breeding Jags with Jags that are infertile
- has anyone bred a leucistic jaguars that has lived for a long amount of time yet
- Is it true that you can't breed a leucistic at all from carpet pythons

I'll make another thread to do with my questions with breeding carpet pythons this is more just about this jaguar morph

I'm just in for other replies. Curious to see what the answers will be. I seem to remember reading that leucistic jags die but I could be thinking of something else and have no clue lol.

The jaguar gene in carpet pythons is very similar if not identical to the spider gene in ball pythons. Both exhibit a variable wobble/spin/corkscrew movement linked to a neurological quirk, and the super in both examples are leucistic animals that fail to thrive no matter how outcrossed the lines are. At this time no other gene will produce a leucistic carpet python, either.
