Does anyone use 4x3 cages for their adults? If so do you have pictures of them with your snake in the setup?

They have the same floor space as a 6x2 but take up less wall space so I was thinking of doing this size for my bigger boas instead of 6x2. Honestly I was trying to figure out how to stack 6x2 with 4x2s and 8x3 for the retic and it wasn't working without getting long and/or uneven. I didn't want the retic above my head for obvious reasons. Or unsupported parts of cages...so I was thinking if 4x3s had the same floor space why wouldn't it work but I like opinions!

I'd probably stack with two boas on the bottom, the retic girl, another boa on top and my 3 4x2s from there maybe. I might actually put a stack of 4x2s somewhere else.

Yeah they have the same floor space but going off Length+Width, a 4'x3' would house a 7' snake and a 6'x2' an 8' snake. Neither cage is going to be appropriate for a 12' snake imo, since people like to quote LengthxWidth for the minimum.

I personally keep my boa in a 6'x2'x3', and with him slowly creeping closer to 7' I wouldn't keep him in anything smaller myself. Unless I got a 5'x2' or something. lol

That said, I think the caging would work if: the snake doesn't get over 7', or you're willing to upgrade if the boa somehow got 8'+.

Are you using heat tape or ambient heat to heat your cages?
