Haven't properly updated about Xena in months, shame on me. So, i snapped some mobile phone pictures before and after she shed. They don't do much justice, washed out colours and a bit out of focus, but it is definitely better than nothing. Xena is now over 11ft.. She is growing fast lately. She is impossible to handle alone and take pictures, as she bolts away in seconds. Which led to a funny picture a while ago, i will add that too.
Full in shed with a stuffed belly.

After shedding, nice and shiny.

This happened when i tried to rinse her off in our old bathroom (She had been laying in her own pee, retics are gross) She came off very easily btw, just guided her off without issues, but it was still funny.

xena is great! wouldn't it be neat if some un-suspecting person decided to take a shower? love to see the video of that!

Haha that would be funny :D She is great, i wouldn't want to take a shower with her though. She is friendly, mostly, but i wouldn't want her to get nippy in the shower! I did place a fairly realistic rubber snake in the bathroom when i still lived with my parents, think i nearly gave my brother a heart attack xD..

She is gorgeous Tsubaki! I'm a huge admirer of retics, although I'll probably never be able to own a snake that big- I'm a tiny person ^.^
The striping down her back can easily be seen in the shower picture though, and it looks great. I'm always a fan for a dark snake, and she doesn't disappoint.
Still, I can't help to think of how that shower scene in Psycho might be a little different if Xena was in the shower instead of Marion...

Gorgeous, gorgeous girl! I hope I can eventually get ahold of a nice tiger retic. With all the boa constrictor project animals I'm getting, I probably won't be able to get a second retic before we move out of our current location. When that happens, I'll probably move out of state (hopefully by then the Lacey Act situation will be sorted out or I can find an in-state breeder with a membership card willing to ship her for me, it would be a shame to have to leave her behind).

Very pretty girl, and that would scare the crap out of me if I pulled the shower curtain back to that. Skipping a shower that day. Lol

Thanks Tiny!! and a Superdwarf is suitable for tiny needs :D! I love her striping, it's hard to show on pictures where she is laying down but that shower pic does show it perfectly! The stripe runs all the way from her neck to her tail! And i agree, that shower scene would have gone very different haha!

Thanks!! :D And I hope you'll find one! That lacey act sounds scary.. There are too many whispers about pet keeping restrictions here too, so far only endangered animals are prohibited or heavily restricted.. If they ban retics i'll get to keep the ones i have but not get new ones, i might end up having to move to Germany! But we'll see..

Thank you!.. And even with her being pretty it is not something i would like to find surprising me when i want to take shower either, dealing with retics naked is not something i want to partake in. o.o

No definitely not lol things can go very wrong. Some things you don't do naked dealing with retics and frying bacon :p

Yes there are a lot of things you should NOT do when naked, anything with animals is part of it. :P
