Saw this little guy last night on the side of our house. He was only about 12" long. Is this a Coral Snake and should I be worried about our dogs as I don't know where he went?
He kept trying to burying himself in the sand.

Red touch yellow kill a fellow, and if red touches black it's a friend of Jack. Easy little rhyme to remember in the future. If you live outside of the US, I wouldn't rely on it but if you do than that's a coral snake look-alike.

I'm in Florida. So, what kind of snake is it?
Definitely not a coral. With a specific locality (state is fine) I could probably tell you what it is. But again, 100% not a coral and nonvenomous.
I believe it's a scarlet snake.
