Got to the show early and of course the line was aleady started. They opened the doors a little before 10am. Paid the 10.00 fee and hurried inside determined to stick to my short list of necessities. Quickly met with my herpetological associates from the Long Island Herpetological Society. Ran over to the Reptile Basics table , got my supplies. Glanced at a few tables with ball pythons. Kick Balls, Outback Reptiles, Snakeman Exotics. Ran over to Reptile Deli for my live list. After 1 hour I was ready to go. They were announcing one of the winning prize numbers as i was leaving, it wasn't my number. Walked out the front door and couldn't believe the line was around the corner. Great Expo. :D

Wow, you were really in and out there AL. No time to get lured in by a new critter. ;)

I knew i wanted to stick to my list EL and i had to have the self control. I did look at several balls and asked about a Super Pastel het pied which nobody had. Everyone had pastel het pied. Got out in the nick of time. Lol. :D

You're better than me when it comes to sticking to the list brother. Whether it's the grocery store, toy store, or pet store my impulse control is often lacking. I'm working on it though. :)

Well actually the list only works at reptile shows. Where i try to avoid getting another animal I absolutely have no room for. Three other females gravid, two garter girls and my pastel ball python. Grocery and toy stores ARE a different story. I know what you mean though. Haha. ;)

Yeah, you are lucky! I know they don't charge shipping at all when you purchase racks and caging from them. Their overall shipping charges are very minimal anyway for other items.

I was also at the White Plains Expo, and of course went home with two new Kenyan Sand Boas....a female snow paradox and a male albino....:)

Wow! That looks like a fantastic find. Congrats. Are the sand boas related?

No, I got the female snow paradox from PMHerps and the male albino came from Family Serpents...I was also tempted by an adult female anaconda hognose, lol

Oh! Cool. I came home with a bag full of supplies, a few live rat pups and some live pink mice. Reptile Basics gave me a nice souvenir bag to hold some of my shipping supplies. Ahaha.
