Herpstat -Dimmable Lighting

I have everything figured out, but finding an appropriate lighting source is the last item on the list. I have a herpstat 2. One output is already connected to a RHP. Much of what I find says you cannot directly plug these dimmable lights directly into a socket. I would think this is the same with the herpstat save for the voltage limit settings, but I am uncertain.
Those using herpstats for light, what would you suggest?
