I'm looking to light up two cages...one for a BP and another that has yet to be determined which kind of snake. What I'm wanting to do is have a white light during the day. The room they are in get some light but to keep the room from overheating when its warm I have to keep the shade pulled so they dont get very good light...and of course I'd like to view inside without shadows and all that during the day. At night I'm thinking a red light. I'd like to put them on a timer for them to automatically switch from one to the other but I'm not sure thats possible without two timers.

Anyone have any suggestions on specific products that they use to achieve this? Does red light on all night disturb them? Does it increase their being out of their hides?

5M SMD RGB 5050 Waterproof LED Strip Light 300 44 Key Remote 12V Supply Power | eBay (http://m.ebay.com/itm/5M-SMD-RGB-5050-Waterproof-LED-Strip-light-300-44-Key-Remote-12V-Supply-Power-/111871923967?nav=SEARCH)

This is what I use for most of my cages. It's simple to put on, as it has an adhesive backing that sticks to the top of the cage. Most are waterproof (it'll say if they are or not), and it's inexpensive compared to other lights. They don't produce a lot of heat and they're not that hot to the touch. Plus you only need one light and can switch it to any color you want with the remote. Good luck :)
