I have had the opportunity to buy back a 'relic' from my past, sold this snake to a friend who wanted to breed him (Mere months before disaster struck). Extremely happy having him back, he has not changed much besides putting on a few pounds. Raised this guy and his brother from hatchling to adult, unlike his brother, this guy got lucky.. He's a pure Seleyar island dwarf retic born in 2009. He weighs 40lbs, and is an estimated 13ft.
This is picture of him at around 4 years old, a while before i sold him.

And now he is back with me :D in quarantine still, but he'll get a nice tub later.

Congrats! I recently got back one of my first snakes too, it's really great feeling to have 'em back, right? :D
And I love eyes of your guy! Shame that retics are soo big, haha!

It really is a great feeling. Letting this guy go, even though he was going to an amazing home and he was being put to good 'work', was still really hard. I love his silver eyes, it is especially nice because all my other retics have bright Orange/Red eyes. he is also very curious and interactive, comes right up to you when you sit in front of the terrarium. :D

Here's a (bad quality) close-up of one of his eyes, because of their size pictures don't do justice to their eyes that often.

Fun retic fact... Would anyone believe me if i told them he has produced around 7,5 pounds of faeces since he got here.. I haven't fed him yet.. (I weighed him when he got here, he went from 47,5 to 40 after 3 big poops) Felt like mentioning...
i'm so glad you were able to get him back! beautiful snake.
Thanks! :D

I suppose it could be a house warming gift haha, first 4 days he was here i had to take him out to clean each time (biggest downside of paper towels).:D Good thing he is really easy to handle.

He's gorgeous man! I especially love the rich, dark colors on this animal, and he doesn't disappoint. I hope to be keeping all of my animals for the entirety of their lives, which is partly why I'm so hesitant about getting into breeding, so it's nice to hear you got this pretty boy back :)

Thanks :) i am exactly the same, it was nearly impossible to choose between him n his brother since i raised both of them.. (Put if off too many times haha) in the end im glad i did decide to sell him, or i wouldn't have had him now.

Wanted to update about Kira, he's doing great. The quarantine tub was too small for him.. Started to feel bad, so he moved into his new home a bit earlier than planned. Tried taking nice pictures with my canon in his new home.. But.. After 1 picture, my camera refused to work any longer.. Not sure what's wrong with it, I'll try to figure it out later. The rest are mobile phone pictures, really impossible to capture his colours with it. Hopefully when i get back from vacation i can take him outside for some proper pictures!
