That is a great looking snake. How old is it? Do you know if its male/female? I'm really wanting one for my next snake.

@ Travesty- Carpets are great! If you don't have one, Get One! You won't regret it. :)

I second Carpets!

If space is an issue, I suggest an irian jaya. They stay small and stay semi-aboreal!

Looks like she has an attitude!

That she has. She isn't the least bit afraid of people, but if she doesn't like something, she shows it :)

An old armchair is perfect to wait in, when the cage is cleaned:)

She's nice and chunky. Incidentally, did she top out in size at about 4 years? How much has she grown in the last 3 years? I'm wondering how much bigger my 4 year old bredli might get. Thanks

She is strongly built to be a carpet, and do not eat so much / often as you might think when you look at her :) Snakes can grow throughout life but fastest up to sexual maturity which occurs at a specific size ( some growth ) and not age. How big they gets depends on the genes and how you feed them. This girl has not grown much in the last three years.

Thanks! I'm very pleased with her. Exciting to follow them and see how they develop. You never know quite how they will look like as adults:)

Don't know how big your current terrarium is. I have one carpet that will be a year in late May and her terrarium are 125x50x60cm and it works very well. But she is a very special little lady, that does not seem to be afraid of anything:)

Thanks! Cages for adult carpet pythons require quite a lot of space. Although there are many who have them in small cages, it is obviously better if they can stretch out properly. My jungle thrives in its cage and is very alert and curious.

Hope the treatment works well and that the snake recovers. What I read it can be difficult to get rid of fungal diseases in reptiles.

I think he has been kept at low temp and too much humidity but I with my vet well sort him out.

My jungle have recently decided that the narrow space between the hide and the shelf is perfect to be in during daytime. Creaks in the whole terrarium when she moves :):):)
