Someone is selling this on my local Craigslist for $50. They say its genetic stripe, is that correct? The genetic stripes I've seen have a lot less pattern but its not a morph I'm familiar with. Any ideas?

It also looks like they're keeping it in their sock drawer.

Looks more like Champagne to me. And it is in a sock drawer with a pink mouse. They clearly know what they are doing :suspicious:

It's a champagne. A Gstripe would have a full stripe. But, for 50 bucks, I'd get it and set it up in a better enclosure. >_>

That makes more sense. I'm kind of tempted to scoop it up at that price. Who knows what could be wrong with it though.

Well, for $50 I'd also have enough $ to swing by a vet for general physical and just make sure I kept him quarintined.

I rescued 5 dnakes from 1 person a while back and every one of them had something that needed help, but 1 DID have a super bad RI that had developed pneumonia. Knowing thats what was wrong with him, allowed me to get him healthy, and I don't regret it at all, even though of the 5, 3 had to be medicated 3 times a week for 2-3 weeks and required a bit of extra care and 1 had a serious mite issue and stuck shed.

It's a gamble, but at such a low cost, it's one I would personally take, then just make sure I quarintined and addressed any issues full force. But...this is ME lol. -points below- Reptiholic.....yeah....

Did you end up getting it?

Certainly could be genetic stripe. The overall appearance is champagne. this could be a two or even three gene ball python. The seller probably doesnt know the value of this animal. As always, buyer beware. Especially on Craigslist! I wish there was a closeup of this animals head. It almost looks like a questionable shaped head.

No kidding, I asked the guy about it and he said "Well I gave it away cause it was burned and I didn't know it."

Huh???

Partly why I don't want to get into breeding balls; so many of them end up in the gutter.

Believe half of what you see, and one quarter of what you hear. Actually, if that has any truth to it its kind of cruel on the sellers part. Good luck with that. I breed bc i love the species but also for quality and selection.
