This snake is so awesome. I highly recommend IJ carpets!
Anywau, just wanted to throw some more recent pics of my growing baby. She was so tiny when I got her but she must be trippled in size since then! She is the BEST display snake and always curious and surprisingly engaging for a snake!
This is her after a fresh shed. Her colors are still really bright and contrasting like the day I got her! Love this little lady!

She's looking great, but why don't you give her a water bowl big enough to soak in? Both our carpets love to soak, even when they aren't close to shedding.

Well, she just recently 'out grew' it. Just haven't upped her stuff yet since I am moving in less than a month and she will also be getting a bigger enclosure.
Also, she's never soaked, not even when in shed. ;)

That's odd (to me anyway, lol) I swear my carpets think they're water snakes at times. Bogey just shed about a week ago, and has been soaking the last few days, along with Rivers. I suspect she's due to shed again soon, but typically spends a fair amount of her time in the water bowl regardless of that as well. It's not for lack of humidity either, they both have cypress mulch for substrate, and the humidity is usually around 60%.

That's not a good sign. If the environment is okay and they bath often or at all, it's often a sign that they are infested by mites. Had checked them very carefully if I were you.

Huh. What are their ambient temps? Persephone's temps range between 75-80 with a 95ish hot spot with her hide over it. I use reptibark and humidity fluctuates between 40 (when the house heater is on in winter) to about 60 if I have the room humidifier on or if I mist.
She is usually on top of tue hide or up on her climb. I don't think I have ever witnessed her soaking.

I've never seen any of my carpets soak either.
Wow! Beautiful snake you have there :)

If they had mites I'm sure I would have seen some by now, I've had the larger carpet for well over a year, and the younger one for months. The humidity is 60%+, the smaller one has a CHE over the screen top and the larger one has a RHP for basking, with a heat mat under the water bowl. Ambient temps are 80, with warmer spots available, though the smaller one doesn't have a heat mat under the water bowl. Room temp (and water temp) in that tank is around 72 on the cool end.

They can be difficult to spot. Use a magnifying glass and look especially around their eyes. Mites likes to sit around the eyes, mouth corners and under the chin.

As well as around the vent.
You could also pull them from thwir enclosures and put them in a tub with white paper towels. If you see little black spots that would be the mites.
My ivory female BP came to me with some mites. I kept her in a small tub with paper towels and sevin dust. It took a full shed to get them all off her. She was kept in the tub for about 2-3 months.
