So this doesn't regard anyone on this forum, this actually just happened and thought it was funny. So i have a friend who randomly snapchatted me in all caps "stop sending me pictures of your damn serpent", and she then proceeded to try and explain how snakes are bound to Satan XD not only that, she then tried to explain how my snake will size me up and eat me (even though hes a dwarf Boa). She tried to say how she has taken a Vet Med class (half-semester blow-off class), and the teacher taught her that snakes are evil XD. Her advise was to never touch/handle the snake and never put your arm in the cage while feeding and to just drop the mouse in (my boa wont eat it if it isnt on tongs moving around usually) The best part was that this all started by a snapchat picture, i didnt even ask for her opinion XD Anyways, what funny stuff have you guys heard? I'm curious :D

Ignorance is bliss lol. I have quite a few good "advice" stories that I heard while working at a nature center filled with snakes.

I've been pretty fortunate to not get much unsolicited advice. Most of the time its just people telling me that my 4 ft retic and rainbow boas will eat me, or that my white lip will try to eat me since he's been off food, even though none of them are any bigger around than a golf ball...

Some animal centres and even the spca of south Africa wanted to forbid snake lovers to feed their snakes any rodent and said that we should feed our snakes mince meat, and they actually think the snake would eat that. So then a friend of mine took his big Burmese (thats about 14-15 feet) and drove with it to the spca and everyone refused to help help him feed his Burmese mince haha. He said that they didn't even help him carrying the snake so how should he get it to feed on mince then. He found this just as hilarious as I did..

My father ,(God rest his soul) told me how when he was a young boy he used to see a snake put its tail in its mouth and roll down hills! This happened quite frequently according to him. He didn't say what type of snake this was but he lived in South Carolina. At some point these snakes had the ability to chase people as they "rolled" after them. He was very serious that this was true.

My Grandpa use to say the same thing! He called them Hoop Snakes rotfl.
But he also said there was a snake in our woods that he called a Log snake. Was so big you sat on it thinking it was a log but turns out it's a snake :)
I loved my Grandpa lol.

Love the "enlightned" religious people who say snakes are evil :'(
