View Full Version : Elemental Exotic's Other 2016 Colubrid Pairings
The other two confirmed non corn pairings we've had so far are Atari, Serenity and River, Thai Bamboo Ratsnakes, Oreocryptophis porphyraceus coxi. Atari and Serenity are repeats but this will be River's first season.
River, produced by Carol Huddleston, clutch sister to Serenity.

Haven't seen a confirmed lock yet but suspect this pairing might also have been successful. Jayne and Vera, Broad Banded Ratsnakes, Oreocryptophis porphyraceus laticinctus. This would be their first season, hopefully!
Jayne.

How old are your tricolor hoggies now? Are they getting close to breeding size yet?
Actually, I just posted an update on them, here. http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/heterodon/111822-elemental-exotic-s-first-lockup-season.html
Probably should have posted them in this thread ... I've got a mile long wait list for babies, so hopefully everything goes well, especially hoping that any babies we get are good eaters!!
wow i dig the names and love the photos :)

Nice pictures, and beautiful snakes. Love their coloring.
Wow! Snake egg season has officially started and it's off with a surprising bang!
Toph just presented us with 6 seemingly fertile eggs!
We had been thinking that there would be no breeding the prasina this year with the issues we'd been having with the male, Roku, though he now seems to be doing much better.
Still, they were paired very briefly quite awhile ago but I didn't think anything would come of it.
Saffron, (Tricolor hognose) and Vera, (O. p. laticinctus) appear to be gravid and in their prelay shed right now, fingers crossed!

Gratz on the clutch. Were the parents WC imports? Put me on the list for a baby when they're ready to move along.
No, I bought a trio of 2011 CB last year but the male had a very hard time acclimating here after he was shipped. The females took a little while to settle in too but only about a month.

Amazing pairings! Congrats and keep up the good work.
Serenity is about to burst and should be laying in the next 3 days, I'd guess. But her sister River beat her to it, she started to lay this morning. Current count is 3 eggs.
Serenity laid 10 fertile eggs on 4/6/16.
River finished laying, only 4 eggs and 3 appear to be duds.
Vera and Saffron have not laid, so that can't have been a prelay shed. Haven't totally given up hope on them for this year though.
