Meet Duchesse,

She is our three year old Turkish Angora! And like any cat, she loves getting into tight spaces!

And her unimpressed face, little nose pimple too!

Any of you keep cats? I'd love to see them!

Cheers,
Herpo

Awwe I love Turkish Angoras. My Sneaky looks like one too.
I have five cats. All of them are rescues. Our biggest rescue was the one I raised after helping his mom deliver him, Six. He was born with a cleft palate and still drinks from a bottle almost 6 years later [there is a surgery, but I'm not sure he'd do well].
Six mistakes the word snake for snack and he's the only one that really cares about them, the only one I have to lock up 99% of the time when they're out.

He's kind of my pride and joy.

From left to right:
Charlie Buckett [orange tabby] - Pretty sure he was found in a dumpster as a kitten. I just remember the awful ear mites he had. He's 9 now?
Sneaky Cat Maschine [black] - Sister of Cassia. Their mom was a wounded stray that we took in before realizing that she was pregnant. They would have been born feral. Turning 14 in July.
Number Six [tabby] - Stray pregnant mom. Found a foster for mom and babies, took him in because he was fading. Only mom he's ever known. Cleaned him up when he was born, even. Huge cleft palate. Turning 6 in June.
Jamal Jerome [snowshoe] - Jamal and his siblings were found in the engine of my niece's friend's RV. Mom couldn't be found so they had to bottle raise all of them. My niece fell in love and we [begrudgingly] agreed to take him. He's almost 3.
Cassia Synge [black and white] - Same story as Sneaky because they're sisters. Cassi and Six are 'my' cats and don't ever know what to do with themselves when I'm not home. She's going on 14 this year.

This is the only cat that currently lives with me, her name is Spooky. I don't remember the age the shelter gave us, but she's around 4-6 years old. Her original owners had her declawed, so not many people wanted her. My mom fell in love with her personality, though, she's very loveable and rather pushy. lol

These two aren't with us right now since they're with my father, but they've been with us for a long time. We've had Lucky 11-13 years now, and when we found her she was probably right around a year old. I don't remember the exact year I got her, but I'll have had Bud 10 years in September, and we had Lucky around 1-2 years before I got him.

She had three kittens with us, only one of which we still have, they were born in March 2007. Tom had a terminal back illness of some sort and he had to be put down, and Sweetie was let outside by our ex-roommate and we haven't seen her in ~3 years.

Here's Lucky, she's a teeny cat, the smallest I've seen in person (you can see part of Sweetie in the corner). She's a sweet girl, and will come running if you call for her. She's not the best with other cats, though.

And this is Tiger, the only one of Lucky's babies left. He's the talkative one, although Spooky could probably beat him on that front when she knows it's feeding time. He just meows all the time.

(Those photos were taken during their supervised outdoor time, they aren't outdoor or indoor/outdoor cats.)

Very nice cats BSG, I know the feeling of having cats for a long time. I've had one every single day of my life, no joke. Our first was a black shorthair named Lady Fifi, she passed three years ago at the age of 14 due to liver complications. I miss her... :(

Thanks! They're pretty special little creatures. Mine are fairly well mannered too. I'm also terribly allergic.

Pretty kitties BSG. Do you know about how much Lucky weighs? My Six is 7lbs and is the smallest full grown cat I've seen. His mother was fairly small though and I heard his sister is super small too but I haven't seen his sister in person to compare.

Thank you. :) I've been thinking about asking my father if we could take them, but I know Lucky wouldn't get along with our current cat, and Tiger's become a little button pusher since his sister is gone. She was a big bully. -.-

No, I don't. Spooky is 7.5 lbs, and bigger than Lucky, so I'd guess she's around 5 lbs? You can't even feel her weight when you pick her up. She's gotten a little fat lately, though, so she could possibly be the same weight as Spooky now, but she still feels rather light. My father likes to feed them. They're not too bad, but they're definitely heftier now than in those photos.

I don't have any photos of her with any of us, so maybe this will help for size reference?

This was perhaps the favourite cat I've owned (although I know I shouldn't have favourites!).

He was called Ra and was such a chilled out thing. Pretty big but soft as a brush. He also had the power to shrink babies as the photo shows :)

Gorgeous! I love big cats. I think I'm gonna hold out on my next cat if my father wants to keep Lucky and Tiger for a nice big Maine Coon or ragdoll from a breeder so I can find some nice big parents. :P

Copy that! I'm obviously nowhere near moving out, but when I do, a maine coon will be my furry gaming partner!

Hehehe cuties. And I was just asking about size out of curiosity XD I have a coworker who tries to tell me that Six looks like a big cat in pictures so I never quite know what people think of as big or small and it's always interesting to hear the different sizes. We used to have a couple of bengals [I actually think they were misnamed savannahs] living with us for a while. When you've got a cat that stretches the length of your foot to your hip sleeping with or on top of you every night... Well anything else seems tiny. And by that... I mean their heads were nearly at my hip, not their paws. Six likes to reach up to my hips but just barely makes it haha.

And I couldn't resist sharing these photos from tonight. Six is so bad about snakes. I was walking around with this shed from my king and he tried to snag me. I haaate when cats do that so I decided to get 'payback' a few minutes later. [Truthfully, I swatted his nose lightly to tell him to knock it off]. He had noooo idea what to do!

After that, it fell off and he just kind of stared at it. I thought for sure that he would try to shred it or try to eat it [he's like a toddler, everything goes in the mouth!] but he didn't, he just shook his head around trying to make it fall off haha!
