that first one almost looks 3D.
Wow, that snake is amazing! I'd love to own WLP's some day but my concern is their temper. If you buy them as hatchlings/Juviniles can you get them to be tame and calm as adults? Are they hard to tame? Is there like with ATB's no garuantie that they calm down or are they easier to tame than ATB?
I also would like to know the main differences between the different races/types of WLP's. Thanx!

Amazing! I've never seen iridence (sp???) like that on any snake! And there IS a snake god, it comes from the voodoo religion, and it's Damballah (hence my male bp's name, lol) ( http://www.paralumun.com/voodoogod.htm ) is a website explaining it if you like....
(all of our snakes names have meanings, damballah : a voodoo god's name, Prana: The Breath of life, and Charulata: Beautiful Creeper *like a vine*)

Thanks everyone! Wow, those pics are old! I should post new one soon. He has grow quite a bit!
sapphire_moon, cool name for youre snakes! I don't know nothing about a snake god but it's interesting, I'll check the website!
Daniel, If you buy them as hatchlings/Juviniles and handle them often, you can have a calm adult. Not totally trustworthy but handleble. It's also a mather of individual, there's some that are calmer then other, and probably some that would calm at all. Harder or easier then atb? No idea, my atb are nippy, my wlp are really really quick, it's more like handling a nervous colubridae. I don't handle mine much often as I use too and she's getting more nervous. But she usually don't bite, a hook is a must to get them out of their tank!
There's 3 locality of wlp. The northen population is golden (the most common one) the southern one are black (a bit more rare and they grow bigger, I think this one has been reclased has horsea ssp.) and the brown on are from Massau island (I only know VPI that owns one).
Try www.leiopython.de (http://www.leiopython.de ) It's the best website for info on them!
Good luck if you get one! And be sure to post pics! Sorry for taking so much time to answer.
