I have had my 6 year old consnake for four years not and she has never been disinterested in her food. Today she eagerly took her food (I live feed her becasue that is they way they feed the snakes in my animal science class where I got her from) but after killing the mouse she had no further interest in it. She is not due to shed, and her feeding was a little bit later than normal so I am a bit concerned.

If anyone has a suggestion on how to perk up her appetite as I am going to try again in a day or two, or if you think this may be serious enough to call the vet please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

It's most likely not serious enough to require a vets attention. Adult snakes go off their food for many reasons, some unknown to us people. :) Most of the time they can go easily for MONTHS without food, without any bad effects.

So personally I wouldn't worry unless other problems...if she missed a meal, wait a week, try again.

After a few missed meals you can look to other reasons such as illness and husbandry issues.

Are you continuing to feed live for research purposes or just because thats how it was done before you got her?

If the reason is the latter you may consider switching her to frozen thawed. One thing you may want to consider is your snake could get worms or suffer an attack from the mouse.
