Soooo, I just put an order in to perfect prey! I'm excited and a tad worried. I hope I have the space in my freezer. I finally got fed up with paying higher prices for fewer rodents knowing they were coming from rodent pro. Most of theolder rodents (mice and rats) had a pretty bad smell too. Not to mention that for some reason my local reptile store that I was buying them from kept running out of the sizes I needed. Granted, they would give me pruce breaks to substitute 2 large mice for 1 medium rat, which was awesome, but I'd really rather have cleaner, more appropriate sized feeders for my living slinkies lol. And, I have heard great things about Perfect Prey. They were just a little cheaper than Big Cheese and the shipping was actually cheaper as well! I will be getting 50 fuzzie mice, 10 medium rats and 15 small rats. The last time I got feeders from the local store my cost was almost $100! And it barely lasted me a month. This order was just over $70 and I don't have to make a special trip or leave work early to get them! (I was leaving work 2.5 hours early some days just to get to the store before it closed because I work a late shift).
Orders are shipped on Mondays so I should have my package by Wednesday! Sooooo excited!

Good choice going with Perfect Prey Mink. I was using Big Cheese but they were out of medium and large rats when I went to place my last order. I gave Perfect Prey a shot and was very impressed with their packaging, prices, and feeder quality. I have a separate freezer for snake food but your order shouldn't take up too much space.

Your experience is kind of what made me give them a try lol.
I will have my own freezer after the move to the new house (closing next friday! Will be moving around april), but for now, I have a tupperware box and need tomake it all fit in there lol. So far it's worked out. I just hope it works with this order because I got so many small/medium rats.
If not...oh well...they still have to be in the freezer lol.

You can see the size of the small and medium rat packages in my picture on the top and bottom left. The mice fuzzies are come in a really small bag. I can fit 50 of those into (2) sandwich bags.

I almost ordered from them the other week since Big Cheese was out of almost everything I wanted. But Perfect Prey was out of one or two things too haha. Luckily when I checked back in to Big Cheese after a few days they had everything available again....would have sucked to pay shipping twice to get everything! Nice to know that these guys will make a good back up though!
I used to order from rodentpro but they just weren't clean and the packaging wasn't the best.
Ziggy who gets the chicks? I just ordered some for my albino beauty but I was thinking of offering them to the bull too when she is big enough. I didn't get too many since I wasn't sure if he would take them. I was thinking of trying the king too on them.

Those look soooo much better than what I have been getting! I eventually want to stock up for 3-4 months at a time. As it is though I thinknthis lot will last about 2 months. =)
I'll take pics and update when I get them in.
Oh! And I also called their phone line because I had some questions that weren't answered on the website and the call was answered quickly, the lady on the line was very friendly and answered my few questions in a quick, professional mannor.
So far, my experience with these guys has been great! =)

@ Riddick- All of my snakes eat chicks and LOVE them. The kings, bulls and my coastal carpet eat them all the time. Only my young jungle carpet hasn't had a chick yet and he'll get his first one this weekend. He's about 225g and the chicks are between 30-40g each.

Zigs I'll say it again. She-Ra is just one of the prettiest snakes I've ever laid eyes on!

Thanks Humble. I love her but your girl Bella is the cat's meow :).

Thanks! I was able to get her mites dealt with which is what I think caused one of the regurges. She's had 3 meals so far since then and keeps everything down, thank goodness. :D
Speaking more on topic I received my first order from Rodent Pro yesterday after cashing in on a sale for large pinks and peach fuzzies. Everything was packaged fine but I did notice that their critters smell more funky than the mice I produce myself. I'll be good for several months but when Bellatrix steps up from fuzzies I think I'll be ordering from Big cheese or perfect prey...a few extra bucks for quality will go a long way after seeing this order.
All the best yall
Chicks are awesome as a treat, but they tend to make the poops extra smelly and messy so be prepared!

Yeah, the last few times when I got the feeders from my local store, who are very forward about using Rodent Pro, and the rats I got reeked. When I offered them tonmybsnakes, even my great feeders wouldn't bite. I had to wash them in hit water and re-offer, and finally they got eaten. Also, when I pull them out of the bags and poop is still on them was kind of....I dunno...unsanitary. even when I bred my own mice (who smelled) I never had an issue with the mouse it's self smelling and I knew they were clean because of how often I changed bedding and such. So, I look forward to clean feeders, and I feel my snakes will appreciate less smelly food as well lol.

I tried RP twice and got soiled feeders both times. It's strictly Big Cheese or Perfect Prey for me. I think you'll be pleased Mink. I'm looking forward to hearing your opinion. Is your younger IJ taking smalls now? And the mediums go to your adult IJ?

The little IJ gets a mix of whatever I have between rat pinks, pups, mouse hoppers or a small mouse. The adult is my garbage disposal. He has taken a mouse hopper on up to a medium rat. So he is fed last and gets what ever isnleft over. If nothing is left, I give him a small rat usually. He could take a medium, but since I feed weekly, I don't think he needs mediums every time. =)
I have 3 hognoses and the king snake on mouse fuzzies, 2 hognoses that swap between mouse hoppers and small adults, then moko is on medoum rats, and Amara is on smalls. I have plenty of hoppers and small adult mice from the local store, but I ran out of the larger and smaller stuff. I expectthat my next order will be bigger and with a more broad size range

Wow. I'm currently looking into Perfect Prey, I've never fed my snakes frozen/thawed, but live mice where I live are currently $2 each and I have 4 snakes and each it's 2 mice. That's $8 total and it really adds up after a while.
Any recommendations for snakes who haven't eaten frozen/thawed before? I have my milk snake in mind, he is old and the mice have been beating him up lately. I also have a young rosy boa (1 year) feeding on pinkies, and it's hard to get live ones on a regular basis.
